Description

**Registration Instructions: To add your child to the interest list, click the green button labeled "ADD TO WAITLIST". All applicants are defaulted to the waitlist. If accepted into the program, you will be notified Friday, May 17th. 

 

The LEAD Academy Program is free to CVESD students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. Funded through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, LEAD Academy offers a wide variety of academic and fun enrichment activities, field trips, and meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks). 

 

The highest priority is given to students identified as “unduplicated” (foster youth, unsheltered, students living in motels/hotels, temporarily doubled up, students in temporary shelters, English language learners, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students). After the highest priority students are registered, additional students will be registered on a first come, first serve basis.

El Programa de la Academia LEAD es gratuito para los estudiantes de CVESD en kínder de transición hasta sexto grado. Financiado por el Programa de Oportunidades de Aprendizaje Extendidas, la Academia LEAD ofrece una amplia variedad de actividades académicas divertidas y enriquecedoras, paseos escolares y alimentos (desayuno, almuerzo y bocadillo).

 

Se da la más alta prioridad a los estudiantes identificados como “contados una sola vez en su categoría” (niños en hogares de crianza temporal, sin hogar, viviendo en moteles/hoteles, temporalmente viviendo con otra familia, en refugios temporales, aprendices de inglés y con desventaja socioeconómica). Después de haber inscrito a los estudiantes con la más alta prioridad, se podrá inscribir a estudiantes adicionales en base de primero en llegar, primero a ser inscrito.

Description

The Chula Vista Elementary School District has partnered with the YMCA of San Diego County to offer students in TK-6th grade a FREE program opportunity. The LEAD Academy will offer a wide variety of academic and fun enrichment activities including field trips.  
LEAD Academy Dates
June 10th-June 28th (Closed June 19th)
LEAD Academy Hours:
7:30am-4:30pm
Application
Must be completed and submitted by Parent or Legal Guardian. One form per participant must be completed for each child registering for the program.
Program Qualifications
Highest priority will be given to unduplicated students: Foster Youth, McKinney Vento (Homeless) students, English Language Learners, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students. After the highest priority students have been registered then it will be a first come, first served basis.  
LEAD Academy Attendance
Daily Attendance is required to receive the full benefit of the LEAD Academy Program. If your child misses 2 days, they will be disenrolled from the program and not considered for future LEAD Academy's.
Meals
Breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided to ALL students for free. Breakfast is served between 7:30am to 8:00am.

Pre-inscripción 
El Distrito de Escuelas Primarias de Chula Vista se ha asociado con YMCA del Condado de San Diego para ofrecer a los estudiantes de TK-6º grado una oportunidad de programa GRATIS. El Programa LEAD Academy ofrecerá una amplia variedad de actividades académicas y divertidas de enriquecimiento, incluyendo excursiones.
Fechas de la LEAD Academy: 10 de junio-28 de junio del 2024
Horario de la LEAD Academy: 7:30 a. m. a 4:30 p. m.
Preinscripción
Debe de ser completada y entregada por el padre o tutor legal. Se debe completar un formulario por cada niño que se inscriba en el programa. 
Programa disponible para familias que califiquen
La máxima prioridad se dará a los estudiantes contados una sola vez en su categoría, no duplicados: jóvenes en hogares de crianza temporal, estudiantes bajo McKinney Vento (sin hogar), estudiantes aprendices de inglés y estudiantes con desventajas socioeconómicas. Después de que los estudiantes prioritarios se hayan inscrito, entonces será por orden de llegada. 
Asistencia a LEAD Academy 
Se requiere asistencia diaria para recibir el beneficio completo del Programa de LEAD Academy. Si su hijo dias, sera dado de baja del programa y no sera considerado para futuras LEAD Academy.
